Well to say today was rough, is an understatement. Long week!!! But Yesterday I had a blast with the girls from work and their men. We went to happy hour at Gloria's in Addison..
Blasty Blast in a Glass!!!
So today I was sort of being a brat and looking in the mirror and just not seeing a big change, I often do this to myself.....Im fighting it I think. Sometimes I am my own worst enemy. Soooo I created a few before and afters so fars...(not done yet with this process, so I will not call them "afters" I will call them "so fars") to help me see for myself!!! And it worked. So ill share...
Well one more work day till I have another back procedure, and I cannot wait. Want to get it over with, but also, hoping it will help. Well Pretty tired, so im going to go pass out!! Goodnight!
Pin It Now!
I like your "before" and "so far" approach. There really is a massive difference in your photos. I think you're right about ourselves being our worst enemies, we really are our harshest critics. Just imagine you were looking at these photos and couldn't see your own face- I bet you'd think "wow that person looks great!!"
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck with the back procedure, I hope it gets better, what's wrong with it if you don't mind me asking? :)
Omg, your genius. So I covered my face with my thumb, & your right, I was like “Not to shabby”! lol It’s crazy how tough we can be on ourselves, but I had A LOT of self esteem issues built up with each pound I gained, so its coming along.
DeleteI don’t mind you asking at all. My last Job, I was a patient care tech and I did a lot of pushing and pulling and helping patients out of bed, and I don’t think I did any of it the proper way. When I was promoted to unit secretary I started to feel it. And for the past 2 years I’ve had chronic, daily back pain (in one specific spot) The crazy thing is, I’ve done so much and Its still there. I refuse to take pain medicine, so the Doctors are forced to believe me haha seeing as I’m not seeking drugs. But I’ve had, physical therapy, chiropractor, facet injections, muscle injection, rhizotomy (they burn the nerves so it does not send your brain a signal saying your in pain….weird), I’ve tried creams and nothing!! So I seeked this doctor for a 2nd opinion…He is doing a radial branch block tomorrow, then a week later another rhizotomy, but he is doing it up higher than the previous Dr did. So hopefully this helps. Also wants me to get Botox in that back muscle as well. Well sorry to bore you, haha. But that’s pretty much that!!
Thank you again for your kind words! Ttyl!
Aww I'm glad it worked. :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had so much trouble with your poor back. You've tried so many different things so I really hope they work this time. I gotta say it's pretty impressive that you've lost all the weight that you have while being in pain. I think a lot of people wouldn't have got past that. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you! :)
Yes, I have had so much trouble, But I couldnt let it be an excuse anymore. It hurts to sit still, so why not move. And actually it hurts less when im walking and moving. But I just cant do to much weight lifting, or back excercises. Every thing I do is cleared by my Doc. :P Thank you for your concern!! Have a good day!
DeleteSo Glad I found your blog through Mege! Love these before and afters, congratulations!
